PayBand/Salary of Group D Recruitment :Recruitment in Pay Band-I Rs.5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1800/- (UR, SC, ST, OBC, PWD(PH) and ESM on ER and CLW.
Age Limit & Relaxation :
Age Limit :- 18 to 33 years and relaxasion available asper government rules. Proof of Age : As proof of age a) Admit Card of Matric/10th/12th Board or Equivalent b) Matric/10th Pass Certificate issued by Board or Equivalent.
Examination Pattern & Syllabus :
Examination Fee is Rs. 100/- only. Candidates who are under SC, ST, PWD(PH), Women, Minority Communities, Ex Servicemen and Economically Backward Classes/Section are relaxed from payment of fees.
N.B.:- Payment to be done through Demand Draft/Postal Order Crossed Demand Draft/Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank or crossed Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favour of “Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway”and payable at “ KOLKATA” . Validity of Bank Draft/Pay Order/IPO should be of minimum two years from the date of issue, otherwise application will not be considered and amount forfeited.
Free Journey/Railway Pass :
A Second class Journey Railway Pass will be issued to the candidates belonging to SC/ST comunities only. All other candidates have to bear own experience .

- Written Exam Syllabus : The Question Paper will be of multiple choice objective type questions. Question will be made 10th class standard in the following topics like General Knowledge, Awareness, Mathematics and Reasoning etc. Questions Paper language will be available in Hindi, English, Urdu or Bengali Meduim.
- Physical Efficiency Test/(PET) : Run 1000 meters in 4min. 15sec. for Male Candidates and 400 meteres in 3min. 10sec for Female candidates.
